More Magical layout

Even though I made several layouts the last time we had the Magical paper pack, I couldn't resist getting the one with updated colors.  I only made one layout from it so far but wondered what pictures to put on it.  This is the one I made...

Yes, they're from Adam's birthday which we just celebrated and, while his theme was Mickey and the Roadster Racers, it's really NOT Disney.  Just goes to show the versatility of the paper :)

I love organization!

I think I spend as much time organizing my craft supplies as I do using them!  I started with a milk crate under the dining room table and have graduated up to an entire room dedicated to my stash.  While CTMH has provided us a few options for stamp storage over the years, I've always looked for something just a bit different.  Well, I finally found it!  Check out this awesome sliding basket set!  The stamp envelopes are a perfect fit and it doesn't take up much room on my shelf.  If you want to do the same, head on over to Bed, Bath and Beyond (don't forget your coupon!) and get organized!

Scrappy Days Studio

This is what my crafting space looks like today.  I'm considering moving the sewing area out to the Florida room because my fabric and yarn stashes are outgrowing their storage space and I'd like more space for workshops. 

This is the view from my kitchen, which has a pass-through window.  Most of the furniture is from Ikea.  I just love that place!

This is the view from the other end of the room.  I think this space is 11 x 24 so it's been tricky working with the narrow layout.

I'm very proud of this hack!  Instead of spending $$$ at Ikea and elsewhere, I went to Walmart and bought come cafe curtain rods and drapery clips and made it myself!  Super easy and way less expensive :)

And that is my happy place!

Hello Again!

Wow, it's been two years since I last posted on this blog.  I had decided to stop but just came across an old posting and thought I'd see if I could pick up where I left off.  So much has happened since my last visit here! 

August 18th is my 20th anniversary with Close To My Heart.  It's hard to believe I've stuck with it for so long.  I'll be honest, there were many times that I thought I'd pack it in but the thought of losing contact with all of the wonderful friends I made and being in the thick of things when new idea books came out, not to mention attending conventions...always made me keep going.  I'm so glad I did.  As long as I can keep making the necessary sales to stay active, I'm here to stay :)

I'll be updating this blog in the next week or so.  I have tons of new artwork and specials to show you!  The new idea book goes live on September 1st and I'm busy planning an idea book launch party.  Stay tuned!
