Life gets in the way...

Sometimes, life just gets in the way of your good intentions.  No new posts for months on end and no real reason for it.  Convention is less than a week away and I can't go :(  The new idea book launch has been pushed back to September 1st - which is great for a lot of reasons but patience is not my strong suit when it comes to new products so I'm really struggling!  I will be having a summer clearance sale in August.  I rearranged my studio and unearthed a whole bunch of stuff that I forgot I had.  Rather than store it away, never to be used, I decided to offer it to my customers at Grand Canyon deep prices.  That leaves several drawers and boxes empty that need to be filled with NEW items - yay!  Stick with me folks, I promise I'll be back.

MIA

So, yeah, I've pretty much been missing in action for two and a half months.  I really don't have much explanation beyond lack of enthusiasm.  Have you ever gone through a phase like that?  Where it seems that life has become routine and you lose that spark that usually keeps you going?  Well, I think that was it!  I'm hoping with the nicer weather and daylight savings time coming in a couple of weeks that I'll be back to my upbeat self very soon! 

I've changed up my monthly stamp classes.  Now, instead of just making three cards of my choosing, you have the option of selecting from a variety of designs on a card "buffet"!  Each card has all the pieces needed to create it in its own box.  You choose one, take it to your table and craft away.  When you're done, return it to the "buffet" line and take another.  No waiting for the stamps or inkpads to be passed around!  Not to worry if there are more than three that you want to make - these choices will stick around for at least two months depending on popularity so you can always make them the next time around.  Plus, there will always be new designs to choose from as well.  I've only had one so far but those who came said it really made things better.  Come check it out for yourself!

Pathfinding

Today's featured paper pack is Pathfinding.  This one's perfect for Autumn, of course, but can be used in so many other ways as well.  Check out this card (part of this month's card class so you're getting a sneak peek!).

I used two stamp sets here: Lifetime of Happiness and Distressed Backgrounds.  It's a very simple card, isn't it?!  I just love that little bit of glacier blue in among all the normal fall colors.

Here's another little card using the same paper and stamps.

 

This one has one of our little printed cork circles on it (from the Pathfinding Assortment).  Just the right touch!

Little dog lost...and found.

I hadn't posted this before now because I like to keep my blog upbeat but for the last five days, things at our house have been pretty bleak.  Our little dog Bailey got out of the fence late Saturday night and we couldn't find him.  All sorts of bad thoughts went through my head - the worst being that he would be hit by a car.  Five long days passed as we searched the streets, put out FB posts, checked with shelters and wondered what else we could do.  Well, today turned completely around when a lady called us saying that she thought Bailey was at the preschool where she works.  We jumped in our car and sped our way there...and it was our little guy!  He's a little bit worse for the wear as he's lost weight and had a cut on his paw that required stitches (bye bye $250) but he's home where he belongs.  We are so happy to have him back with us and now that the stress is gone, we can laugh at his attempts to walk with a bandaged paw.  Welcome home, pup!
